Something to think and pray about this week
The journey of the Israelites, with their gifts and struggles, continues to be relevant in our time. Life involves being and becoming, stability and change, time to rest and time to move on, times of crisis and times of celebration.
There is always some element of transition present as external situations change, and changes take place within us as we deal with those transitions. In dealing with such situations, we can respond well or poorly; we can progress or regress. It is futile to attempt to stay still, just as it is difficult to remain still if swimming against a strong current in a river. While there is some stability in life, much of our time is lived in transition, and a great deal depends on the quality of the decisions we make in times of change.
