Something to think and pray about this week
Unlike him, we may not make the cover of Time magazine, but that matters little. Our lives can be filled with meaning through falling in love with God as he did, living the rest of our days in companionship with his Son, and serving his people in whatever ways are shown to us. The following lines, attributed to Pedro, catch the point with startling clarity:
Nothing is more practical than finding God,
that is, than falling in love in an absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.
It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings,
what you will do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with love and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything!
